This kid walked by while I was waiting for my lunch order. He and a buddy built this bike from bamboo. The fork, seat, wheels, and gearing (along with the appropriate mounts) were lifted from a busted up old bike. The frame is made from bamboo lashed together with twine and fiberglass tape. He was really proud of it, as he should be.

R&D of bamboo. First coping of the 2" down tube to 2" bb shell. I did this one freestyle with the big drill and hole saw. It came out pretty good without files; for the first joint that won't be attached it will be fine. I'm going to get a joint tool for the real bikes.
